.PREPARING FOR YOUR REAL ESTATE SESSION.
***IMPORTANT: Please provide your client with a copy of these guidelines prior to the scheduled shoot. Please also keep in mind that we will not move any items located inside of the property. It is solely you & your clients responsibility to prepare the home for the shoot.
[Tips for all areas in the home]
Thoroughly clean entire home. This means vacuuming any and all carpets, mopping hard-wood floors, wiping countertops, & throughly cleaning all windows.
Turn all overhead lights ON
Replace any burned out lightbulbs
Use lightbulbs of the same temperature throughout entire house [ex: Use ALL incandescent lightbulbs or use ALL LED lightbulbs.]
Turn all ceiling fans, television & computer screens OFF
Open all blinds & window treatments to allow natural outdoor light in
Remove all personal photographs
Neatly make all beds
Hide all shoes & jackets
Close garage doors
Remove cars from driveway and front of home
Prepare any landscaping [mow lawn, plant flowers, trim trees, etc.]
Remove any miscellaneous items form the front of the home/porches
Clean deck, outdoor tables, chairs, cushions, etc.
Any visible pillows or cushions should have a “fresh look”
Clear all toys, sports equipment, games, etc.
Make sure the pool is clean and sparkly & hide any pool cleaning supplies
Turn any pool water features ON
Remove visible water hoses
Remove any visible trash cans
Clear countertops completely [no knife blocks, baking supplies, mail, etc.]
Leave out a maximum of one small appliance [ex: coffee maker]
Clear off the outside of the refrigerator
Hide garbage cans
Remove any dishes from sink
Dust & polish tabletop
Use decorative place settings if possible
Straighten all chairs and space them evenly
Remove stacks of magazines, papers, mail, etc.
De-clutter fireplace mantel
Clean the interior of fireplace
Fluff and arrange any decorative pillows
Remove toys and other items
Neatly Make ALL beds
Clear nightstands of all personal items
Store away phones & tablet charging cables
Remove all clutter from the top of dressers
Remove any family photos from the dressers and walls
Clean underneath all beds
Clear countertops completely
Put toilet seats down
Close closet doors and drawers
Remove shampoo, soap, loofahs, etc. from showers and tubs
Remove dirty towels - Leave any new or neatly folded towels
Put away any food & water bowels, pet beds and toys
Use lint roller on furniture to remove pet hair
Contain pets in hidden crate or outside
Clear backyard of pet waste/toys
